here is a little sumpin sumpin
Fruit illustration will never be replaced by photography,
real fruit is funky looking and not consistant, the color is off, the surface might have a blemish on it, so really the only good way to get some fruit that doesn’t turn peoples stomach is to illustrate it.
these were done mostly in illustrator CS3. using transparancy to create textures and surfaces.
I actually bought some fruit and shot it to use as reference for these. So they are unique statements of what a piece of fruit can look like….
