this weekend was my dad’s birthday and mothers day, both of them have past away over he last few years. I had a dream last night that I received a phone call from my dad, we talk very little but it was enough. he wasn’t all crazy from the ahlzhiemer’s. he was his old self. optimistic, and confident everything would be good. it was good to hear from him afters so long.
So here are some phone icons I drew from the past few years in illustrator. showing three ways to handle it, clean, detailed and simple shape. The phone technology has changed since these were created so they are no longer relevant. That is why illustration is an ever regenerating market. things become passe pretty fast. Styles change, colors change, you end up redrawing the same thing every year just with the latest spin.
