everyday for a year or so I made it a point to draw a comic strip…

my dad always thought I should be a cartoonist, I wanted to see if I could do it…

I developed some characters but it is hard to stay focused on something like this for a whole year without wanting to do something else… anyway I will present these works on my blog in the upcoming weeks — enjoy? or suffer … let me know which

“oh dear, I hope the internets doesn’t find out about this!”

“although I shouldn’t have been looking at sexy scrap metal web site again”
“the internets are indeed a source of evil, for the lonely robot”

being raised by a suburban washer and dryer set mr. tinmouse finds out his real parents were a soup can and an old tube radio…

here is a version I printed on an old telephone directory and added some color with vegetable dyes or photoshop I can’t remember

the styles were paramilitary at the time… people would dance at a club wearing one glove, and shirts had shoulder pads on them… to make people look menacing.. the menacing look had evolved today into the modern pirate look… which really got it hold from a combination of the movie mad max and an episode of Seinfeld where Jerry received a puffy shirt… it is exemplified by wearing lots of black and tatoos on the skin… rockabilly and hot rods are also part of this look but I digress.

i have a character I created called mr. tinmouse. he is a robot. that evolved from a tin mouse. the mouse evolved into a soup can. this is a portrait of that guy. Mr. tinmouse has some comic panels in my drawer at home but hasn’t made it on a printing press or anything like that so anyway this is some background on that guy….
