I had a dream about this song. I have spent too much of my life living in the past, but sometimes these songs strike me with melancholy. I was hung up on “september song” for most of my teen years after hearing it on a Django Riehhardt record. September song was written in 1929 for a broadway musical Knicker Bocker Holiday. Melancholy was considered a malidy of old. It can draqg down an old man making him stuck in the past while the world passes him by. You can never go back, time doesn’t allow it….

but it is good to know I can still feel something for a song… no matter how old I get. fuck you old age, fuck you…
